College Implements Sexual Misconduct Reporting Line
Following the Board’s 2022 strategic commitment to “redouble efforts to prevent, collect, and investigate sexual misconduct complaints…”, the Sexual Misconduct Reporting Line began operation on October 1, 2023. This confidential service is designed to assist the public in reporting sexual misconduct by a Registered Counselling Therapist. Information for the public is prominently displayed on the NSCCT website and supported by a video tutorial about how to report sexual misconduct.
The Sexual Misconduct Reporting Line is managed by a Sexual Misconduct Complaint Navigator trained specifically for the unique purpose of providing intake support for sexual misconduct complaints. Her primary function is to sensitively and informatively help the complainant navigate each phase of the complaints process. Beyond this, she will also provide liaison with the College and facilitate access to the Sexual Misconduct Process Support Fund as required.
