Public Representatives Sought by Nova Scotia Regulated Health Professions Network
The NS Regulated Health Professions Network (the Network), on behalf of each of Nova Scotia’s 22 health profession regulators, is inviting applications from the public to serve as public representatives on a number of statutory committees.
Voluntary public representatives play a crucial role in ensuring accountability, transparency, and representation of public interests within regulating health professional practices. Public representatives participate in committee meetings that address registrations decisions and health care professionals’ conduct. Public representatives provide feedback from the general public’s perspective to ensure that public concerns are heard and considered in health professional regulatory processes.
The recruitment of public representatives is ongoing.
